Enaura Bridal Couture Shoot at the Pasadena Museum of History

Early last year, I had the honor of working with up and coming wedding gown designer, Enaura Bridal Couture. These gowns are intricately designed and are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Each detail on the gowns are made by hand and created to wow you. We had the talented Daniel Cruz photograph this shoot and used veils handmade by Veiled Beauty. Oh, and can't forget the gorgeous Pasadena Museum of History that served as the backdrop for this shoot. A huge thanks to Delia Falls for the hair & make-up. Enjoy these photos!

Field and Urban Los Angeles Engagement Session by Dennis Roy Coronel Photography

"My fiancé does photography as a hobby on the side so when it came down to photographers he was a bit picky. After meeting multiple photographers we finally met Dennis Roy Coronel whose style of photography really felt like he can capture our love for one another and our soulful, stylistic vibes.

Our first shoot was in Downtown Los Angeles to capture our first love in the nightlife of the city. A storm was passing by and it was pouring rain. Then when we got out of the car the skies opened up to allow us to have an amazing shoot. The purple hued sky and the wet, grey streets were perfect being that our wedding colors are purple and dark grey.

The second session with Dennis was to capture the warmth of our love on a hot, sunny day in Irvine. He had the perfect spot he had scouted out in the trails of Bommer Canyon. The back drop was sunlit trees and meadows showing the more romantic side of our love. Throughout our session, we had a few laughs with my fiancé showing his goofy side." -the couple

Their love story: Friends, music, and drinks. This combination of things is what brought us two together just like many other young couples of this generation. We first met at a nightclub in the Bay Area through mutual friends back in 2008. Right away, we hit it off and conversed the night away. We paired nicely like the Hennessy & coke in our hands, and our love like a perfect verse over a tight beat to our favorite hip hop classics.

In 2010, we decided to move down to Southern California to try something different. We found the perfect place, it happened to be down the street from our favorite spot, the Happiest Place On Earth, Disneyland. Having no friends or family, we had to rely on one another. Living together not only helped us learn about each other, but it made us closer and stronger.

We've been together for 6 years now, and we are 7 months away from getting married. We are both so excited to embark on our next journey together!!

Pink Rancho Las Lomas Wedding from Eyelet Images

"Our favorite wedding day moment was probably our first look. We know it’s ‘superstitious’ to see each other before the wedding, but we believe this made the wedding much more memorable. Being able to spend time with each other alone before the ceremony was a good way to calm the nerves and relax before our big show. At no other point in the day, did we have time just to ourselves and to take in what the day was really about, our love for one another. Also, we were able to venture around the beautiful venue and take many pictures with our photographer. We believe this would have been much more difficult to fit in between the wedding and reception given the lack of time and the presence of our guests.

A close second was our band. We have to devote a large portion of the success of our wedding to the Tijuana Dogs. This band was flat out phenomenal. The lead singer was full of energy, jumping, bouncing, and dancing everywhere! We actually have a picture of the lead singer and the father of the bride grooving together, priceless! We received countless compliments on the band. An Uncle asked us for a CD of theirs and another relative asked us where they performed locally as they were on a mission to see a repeat performance. Our favorite compliment had to be “I’ve been to A LOT of weddings, but I have never seen a band like that or a dance floor like that! EVERYONE was dancing!”. It was so fun to have everyone we love, from the flower girls to our grandparents, out on the dance floor with us celebrating our special day." -Fred & Lauren

Wedding Planning AdviceLooking back, we recommend booking what we believe to be your most important venders first: the venue, the entertainment, the florist, and of course the photographer. We budgeted more for these items, and less for items such as the dress, invitations, and the cake. The venue, flowers, and entertainment are what we remember most about our wedding, and things that all of our guest commented and complimented us on. Our photographer was absolutely wonderful. She not only made our day flow so smoothly, but she took breathtaking photos that we will cherish forever.

About their honeymoonFor our honeymoon we went to Spain and Italy. We purchased a travel package offered through Costco, and would recommend Costco travel to any future traveler. Costco took care of all transportation to and from airports, they had great locations for their hotels, and the price seemed very competitive, the experience was headache free. This was a very busy honeymoon (4 cities in 10 days), our days were long, full of miles of walking, and plenty of sightseeing. This is right up our alley as we are young, we love to travel, and we are both fascinated with history and culture. Warning: this was not a relaxing honeymoon by any means! Some of our favorite sights include visiting the buildings of Antoni Gaudi, a late night visit to Barcelona’s aquarium (highly recommend to go at night, it closes at 11pm in the summer months, and was empty by 9pm, it was very romantic, we had the place nearly to ourselves!), the Vatican, taking a gondola down a Venetian canal, and visiting the Venetian island of Burano. There was so much more we omitted that was absolutely breath taking, and even more places we had not time to visit. These are large urban centers with countless offerings for any individual. The only thing we could have asked for was more time. We would highly recommend a visit to any of these cities if you like the hustle and bustle of densely populated regions, you are fond of European history/culture, and if you like to sightsee.

Whimsical San Juan Capistrano Engagement Session by McCune Photography

"On Christmas Eve we had dinner with Philips Family at Five Crowns in Corona Del Mar and it had finished somewhat early. Phil asked Amanda if she wanted to go to Disneyland, and she never turns down a Dland trip! What better place to spend Christmas Eve. We started at CA adventure and Philip kept insisting on going to Disneyland while the fireworks were going off. After the fireworks we made our way up to the castle. Amanda always wanted a picture in front of the castle at this time of year. We waited and waited for the cast members to open the ropes. Amanda kept saying how we didn't have to wait but phil insisted we take the picture. Finally it was our turn to take a photo. All of a sudden phil reaches in his inside jacket pocket and got down on one knee. Amanda was in shock and instantly started to cry of happiness and was full of love. He did good. He got me.and of course I said yes :)" -Phil & Amanda

Inspiration for engagement session: We wanted to do two locations to have a change of scenery. The mission in San Juan Cap was perfect for a bit more formal shoot with history and a lot of cool textures. The second location we chose was Casper Park for more of the rustic vibe with lots of greenery. We couldn't have been any happier with these two locations!
