Fun Disneyland Engagement Session from Theresa Bridget Photography

"Ryan and I chose to have a shoot at Disneyland because we LOVE Disneyland..I mean, we did get engaged there also =). I think it's apparent in our story that Disneyland is just one of our "things." Ryan and I go to Disneyland almost every weekend and it's not even just to ride the rides. Ryan and I enjoy walking around and eating all the delicious food. Disneyland is a quick escape for us, it's a happy place where we can just enjoy each others' company. Ryan and I had a tough time finding a photographer who had an annual pass and was as passionate about Disney as we were, so when we stumbled upon Theresa and Greg through a friend we were more than excited to shoot with them! We were able to incorporate a lot of "our typical Disney things" in a lot of the photos. We chose the outfits because we thought they would match with the shoot. Walking around in heels really gives me a great appreciation for the sneakers I usually wear on our visits. The coloring with the pictures from the tea cups made the walking all worth it =)." -the couple

How he proposed: "If you know Ryan and Jody, then you know they love Disneyland (they are Annual Pass holders and visit almost every weekend). Ryan figured that the best place to propose would be at their special place and knew Jody wouldn't suspect a thing. That Saturday night Ryan and Jody along with their friend Yuka planned to meet Yuka's fiance Justin at Disneyland after he got off work. Little did Jody know, Ryan had planned for both their families and close friends to be at "The Compass" between the two parks waiting for them. When they arrived Jody was surprised by her friends holding signs and Ryan on one knee."

About their upcoming wedding: Our wedding is going to be at McCormick Home Ranch in Camarillo, CA. We were really looking for an outdoor location that felt homey, and that was it. The venue has a plantation-style home built on a ranch style lot with a barn in the back. It is beautiful. The front driveway u-lawn is used for the reception and has overhanging rope lights and white paper lanterns. Our wedding is a mostly DIY rustic wedding, with touches of Disney and Aloha. It'll be apparent to our guests in all the little details. So far, I've designed all our wedding suite print items and have enjoyed every minute of it =). Ryan's family is from Hawaii, so it only makes sense that we would incorporate that as well. (Here's a hint, the groomsmen are wearing aloha shirts). I can't wait to see our big day come to fruition. We're really excited because the big day is just going to be so "us."
