San Clemente Engagement Session

"Kyle and I love San Clemente and wanted to have the engagement shoot there. It holds a special place in our hearts as that's where he proposed and where we have started a life together and wanted to share that with our family and friends. We chose the state beach to shoot at and our photographer, Leif Brandt had scoped it out to find some awesome shoot locations. We walked around the camp grounds, shot in the trees, on the bluff, at the historic cottage and moved down to the beach at sunset. It was an amazing day filled with lots of laughs and love which turned into some awesome pictures and memories." -the couple

How he proposedKyle told me he got force hired to work on a Saturday and I was super bummed because we have opposite schedules and it was our one day off together that weekend. It didn't seem like anything out of the norm because he always gets force hired so I called my best friend to see what she was up to. She came down that Saturday to do arts and crafts for her wedding that was coming up in two weeks. When we finished wedding crafts she wanted to have a sunset dinner on the beach, so we picked up wine and takeout food and headed down to San Clemente State Beach. As we sat on the beach drinking wine, a bee attacked us so we quickly gathered our stuff and Liz suggested moving to the bluff to eat. So we packed and headed up the stairs to the bluff where Kyle was standing on the grass with rose petals and candles lining the path to him. When I saw him I knew what was happening and started to cry. He planned the whole thing and our families and closest friends were waiting down the street to celebrate with us.
