A Paradise Point Resort & Spa San Diego Wedding from Ed Pulella Photography

"Elicia and Mike had been together for a few years, and both already had kids of their own by the time they started dating. This wedding was a way to not only make their union official, but to also bring their two families together into one big, beautiful family. And judging by the tears of happiness I spotted throughout the day, I think it worked.

As it turns out (I wasn't entirely aware of this), most of the wedding was DIY. Elicia told me that both friends and family came together to make the day so perfect. Her mom made the flower arrangements and table decorations from items Elicia had bought. Her friend for work volunteered to be the on-site coordinator. Another good friend of theirs was the officiant during the ceremony. Hard to believe this wasn't the result of a collaboration of wedding pros!

The location was also pretty incredible. We went from doing some portraits in this lush, tropical garden area, to their beachfront bungalow for a pre-ceremony break, to a ceremony right by the water, all within walking distance in the same giant resort. Add in the typically perfect Southern California weather, and you got yourself a pretty great day all around." -Ed Pulella Photography
