"We wanted to go for an intimate and romantic backyard garden vibe at a venue with local history. The main colors were light and dark greens, deep, rich navy and light coral blush. We chose olive napkins and garlands for the tables and a lot of neutrals for the flowers. The wedding definitely had a lot of DIY - I handmade the seating chart, learned calligraphy for favors and envelopes and wrote our own cocktail recipes." -bride & groom
What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?
- It was important to us that we hosted a fun, relaxed party for our friends and family, most of whom had to travel from out of town. My biggest splurge was definitely the dress, though ;)
- Don't be afraid to ask your vendors a lot of questions and most of all, TRUST that they know what they are doing - it'll make it less stressful for you.
