Minimalist Mid-Century Modern Joshua Tree Elopement Editorial

"This unique elopement styled shoot was part of wedding photographer Alicia Mink's mentorship, beautifully styled and executed by Alicia and florist/event designer Maher Haroun. The models are a real couple, though not engaged, who are genuinely adorable together. Josh is a Toronto-based musician and Sarah is a Toronto-based model.

I think this elopement shoot is proof that small outdoor desert-inspired celebrations don't necessarily have to be one way - it can feel high-end, classic and modern as this one. Sarah's gown from Monamie Bridal Salon and jumpsuit from Zara reminded me of the '50s and the '60s in Palm Springs when mid-century modern architecture took over the desert city. It was also an iconic time when the California desert established itself as a chic and hip getaway spot that it is now. To demonstrate the style further, the hair and makeup artist Sarah of BeautyBeSpoken gave Sarah a modern ponytail and a classic, natural makeup."
