Classic Wedding with a Floral Circular Arch at Estancia La Jolla

"We chose San Diego because it is my (bride) hometown, has great weather, and would be a fun weekend getaway for our guests traveling from all over. We wanted the weekend to have minimal logistics and allow everyone to relax by the beach or at the spa. The Estancia offered all of that plus a beautiful garden setting for our wedding day. We loved the intimate setting - creating a semi-informal but romantic atmosphere for our day as well as the old-world European charm bringing in the warm tones and textures.

Our style was classic & elegant, but fun and inviting. We used a variety of textures and a neutral color palette to accentuate the venue and seamlessly blend in with the beautiful surroundings. When picking our theme, something that would be unique to us, we selected "The Best is Yet to Be". We were so excited about our wedding, but more so for all the wonderful things to come into the marriage. We incorporated this theme in many areas:
- Custom wedding logo
- Guestbook was a scrapbook of our guests, they found their picture to sign next to and we will add in more pictures of future events with each of them
- to a cheese table sign "Best Yet to Brie"
- Our first dance was "The Best is yet to come"
- Our reception tables were themed with traditional gifts for each wedding anniversary (paper, wood, tin, etc.). At each table, there were handwritten poems describing the meaning of the anniversary and a sentimental item made of that element from our families - the last piece of my mom's family silver, my grandfather's gold glass cup collection, a framed program from my parents' wedding, etc. Additionally, we had advice cards at each table and had the guests write an anniversary on the envelope for us to open on that date.

Other than that, we had small elements that were unique to us:
A caricature artist as my parents had a larger than life caricature done of them at their wedding to welcome their guests, a precious moments cake topper (another family tradition), a stamped penny with our logo for guests to take home, and other tributes to our parents who have each been married 30+ years."
