Winter Bohemian Wedding Ideas

About this shoot: "I wanted to capture a bohemian-esque vibe, while keeping in mind inspiration for the winter season. Taking place on a captivating golden hill top in San Luis Obispo, this shoot couldn't have been any more intimate & enchanting. I incorporated subtle touches of winter: faux-fur vests, pine cones for the table, cinnamon sticks for plate decor, burly wood & gold for the chargers, gold christmas bulbs, and some dark blue winter greens into the floral work. Cool colored candles cover the table, providing a charming, natural, bohemian feel. {I received so many awesome pieces from multiple vendors, that it was difficult to shoot it all - what a wonderful challenge to have!} The styled shoot has a story-like timeline: in the beginning, there are the "getting ready" images that portray the more casual {yet beautiful} RAGA clothing. The bridesmaids dressed in embellished tops and velvet plum pants; the bride in a one of a kind 1970's vintage ivory kimono jacket. Then, the "wedding attire:" which includes the blue bridesmaid dresses, fur vests, gem stone jewelry, & soft flower crowns, and finally, the "after-party/reception" look, which incorporates the evergreen wraps, white dresses, and the glamorous & bold {yet simple} Kennedy, Leslie, & Lafayette head pieces by Untamed Petals.

There were some intricate items included in the shoot to add a touch of uniqueness. For example, the tablecloth was crocheted by my grandmother in Greece - and just happens to be a beautiful snowflake pattern, which goes perfectly with the winter-theme :). Another notable asset to this shoot is the color scheme of the flowers: they aren't your typical red & white &/or gold "winter" arrangement - they are full of COLOR. The florist strongly believed that vibrant-colored flowers with winter-colored greens would create a gorgeous winter look - and she turned out to be right! All in all, I believe the look creates wonderful inspiration for the bride & groom who have vivid and radiant personalities, but also love the soft, magical feeling of the winter time."
