Elegant and Classy Malibu Winter Beach Wedding at The Sunset Restaurant

"It couldn't have been a more perfect Southern California Beach Wedding. On Rod + Lorin’s big day in Malibu, the forecast was 100% rain and the stormiest of weather. No let-up on the rain all day long. But they didn’t let that get the best of them. Lorin, their little girl Peyton, + her girls got ready in a Malibu home, looking out over PCH at the silver-blue Pacific Ocean. Rod + his groomsmen got ready right underneath the girls in the detached bachelor house after they went for an early surf session in the morning. Rod rode in his Speedster down to the Sunset Restaurant, while Lorin, their little girl Peyton, and her girls rode in the back of a classic white limo singing "going to the chapel" straight to their first look spot: about a mile from the restaurant on the sand. As the limo awaited Rod’s arrival with closed eyes, the dark clouds rolled in over the ocean, giving the beach a very powerful and majestic feel. As Rod’s back was turned to the limo, Lorin got cheered on by her maids as she walked along the bluff. Rod couldn’t believe his eyes. The soft lighting, huge clouds, excited bridesmaids, and waves crashing vivaciously made their first look so romantic!

Right before the ceremony started, the candles were lit, her close friend started to sing, and the clouds couldn’t have looked more dramatic. After Rod carried their little girl Peyton down the isle (she couldn’t decide whether to run back to mom in the limo or down the isle to dad!), he stood anxiously, awaiting his girlfriend of 10 years & soon-to-be-bride to appear. Right when she stepped out of the limo with her dad, it started to sprinkle, and then, it started to pour. The candles remained lit as she walked down the isle in her mom’s Jimmy Choos & her dad put her hand in Rod’s hand. They laughed & smiled, realizing this was the moment they had been waiting for. Rod had a hard time holding it together, as their Pastor began the ceremony. Right as they exchanged their rings and bowed their heads, the sun dropped right below the heavy rain clouds and beams of light shone across the water and the entire ceremony. The rain stopped right as they became husband and wife! Everyone cheered as they walked down the isle together & threw their arms in the air. The rest of the night was filled with bright, simple details, yummy desserts, and funky music to get down to on the beautiful coast of California. Rod + Lorin’s saying for each other is “it was always you,” which was completely evident as they danced the night away with their little girl and began the first day of the rest of their lives as the Brewsters."
