"My favorite thing about engagement sessions is the simplicity of it all. I get to follow a couple in love around for a couple of hours with no distractions. It allows me to focus on them and for them to focus on each other and nothing else.
I first me Denise and Bryan in Palm Springs at my favorite coffee shop, Koffi. We had a wonderful meeting and I immediately fell in love with their energy. Denise is from Chicago and Bryan is from Stockton, but two years ago they found each other in Southern California. Listening to them tell their story I couldn't help but be inspired by the love they have for each other.
Our session took us to Crystal Cove, an area I have not explored much in the past. We wandered along the beach a little ways before stumbling upon a beautiful stretch of rocky coastline. Their love story: Denise and Bryan met working at a medical device company in Orange County, CA in 2011. Denise was waiting in the lobby on her first day when Bryan arrived for an interview. It was love at first sight for Denise, but Bryan doesn't recall the encounter ; ). Bryan was hired a few weeks later and they soon became good friends. Several months passed before Bryan got the courage to ask Denise out and the rest is history.
The proposal: Bryan proposed to Denise in the kitchen of his apartment. He had received the ring in the mail a few days earlier and had nervously been trying to get a hold of Denise's father to ask permission to marry her. Bryan was so anxious by the time her dad gave the ok that he immediately proposed.
About their shoot: The engagement photos were shot at Crystal Cove State Park in Newport Beach, CA. This is one of the couples favorite spots for hiking or just hanging out on the beach.
