"This has been one of my favorite engagement shoots to date! Michael & Makayla were nothing BUT joyous & fun! Both attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where Makayla studied to become a teacher & Michael played for the baseball team, later to get signed professionally. They both loved where they got to spend their 4 years of college, not to mention the place where it all started for them - so the beautiful city of San Luis Obispo is where we decided to document their story. Makayla's bold maroon color palette popped nicely against the green hills, and her elegant sequin dress foreshadowed their gatsby-inspired wedding vision. Just look at them, how cute are they? I am absolutely in love with couples like them - they are confident in who they are and what they share. At the end of the shoot, we winded up standing on the edge of a cliff, with Wilder Co Floral's bouquet in hand, staring off into the sunset, trying not to let our jaws drop at how perfect the scene was in that moment. Michael rocked a blue suit, and Makayla killed it in her chiffon dipped skirt, knot belt, and heels. I love capturing engagements because they allow for intimate time with my couples & they allow myself & my couple the freedom to creativity be ourselves together. But one of my favorite things about engagement sessions, this one in particular, is the timeless beauty you get to surround yourself in. Nature & the essence of eternal love.
