My husband and I are traveling wedding & engagement photographers with a focus on National Parks and other beautiful, wild places. Shooting an engagement session in Joshua Tree National Park has always been a dream of mine, so as soon as we knew we'd be visiting in January, I put made an announcement on my instagram hoping to book a session.
It was actually Eunice's sister, Priscilla, who contacted me first, needing headshots for her website (she has a calligraphy business and did all of the beautiful paper goods for this session). She then referred her sister and we booked both of them! They all came out together and we had so much fun shooting their sessions. Eunice and Wilson have been dating for over four years and were very recently engaged. They were giddy and so clearly in love!
Once we started taking photos, Priscilla (Eunice's sister) surprised them with the beautiful hand-written paper goods as a gift. They ended up being a perfect, sweet set of details in the wild desert setting.
Wandering through the huge boulders and bizarre trees with Eunice & Wilson felt like a dream. The light was perfectly golden. They fell in to each pose so comfortably and seemed most at peace when they were embracing each other.
We had so much fun getting to know them and we truly didn't want the session to end. We left feeling like we had made three new friends and truly can't wait to get back together for their wedding! -Abbi Hearne
