A Romantic Hummingbird Nest Ranch Wedding

"The number one item that Andres wanted was to party until six in the morning. He's from Argentina and their weddings end at 6am with breakfast. That was his vision. The number one thing that I wanted was to have an outdoor wedding and get married under several trees as though we were in the forest; I love nature and wanted my wedding to have that earthy feeling where the rays of sun slightly tickled our faces.

So finding a venue was not easy. One of my bridesmaid's casually mentioned Hummingbird Nest Ranch to me. At first I wasn't interested because The Villa wasn't my thing. But then I saw the Olive Grove full of trees and that's when I called. My first phone question was, "Until what time can we have amplified music outside?" As soon as she said 2am, I was like, "okay, I'll come Saturday!" As soon as we walked the estate, immediately we both fell in love.

What made me appreciate the space was the antiquity and charm of the Ranch (Olive Grove, Sitting Bull and Lake Lawn). The Olive Grove was exactly what I was looking for, it had 10-15 trees surrounding this perfect center tree. In July, the sun lightly hits the trees at 6p, so it made our ceremony look and feel magical. When I was younger, I used to think that the rays of sun beaming down were rays from God. So when the rays beamed through the Olive Trees and onto our skin the day of our wedding, it felt as though God was blessing our ceremony. That's also why we included chandeliers draping from the trees; I wanted the sun light to hit the crystals and create this natural light of beauty. Everything else was to be clean and simple." -bride
