Intimate Private Estate Malibu Wedding

We get so excited when Closer to Love Photography sends us their latest work, and this wedding was no exception. They have a way of making pure magic whenever they get behind the lens, especially with this gorgeous intimate affair. From last minute floral purchases to twinkling lights at dusk, we just love how the personal touches show through to who this couple really is. You can tell that the couple took their advice to heart, and had a great day celebrating the love between the two of them. Their private moment together on the beach will be one they are sure to treasure forever.

About their wedding: After being together for over 7 years and never really having dreamt of an “ideal” wedding the only expectation we had was to have a small and intimate wedding. We were inspired by sunset colors for our color palette and wanted the day to feel like a casual family get together. During the planning process it was really important for us to decide which items were most important and were worth splurging on and opted to do as much as we could on our own for the remainder of the items. We spent countless weekends in DTLA purchasing various items for our wedding and even purchased flowers for the centerpieces the day before our wedding!

In the end our wedding was a truly a labor of love. All our friends and family came together to help us make the day happen. Feeling such great love and support from all our friends and family is truly an indescribable feeling. Even more unforgettable was seeing each other for the first time and being able to marry each other! Finally :)

Wedding planning advice: Wedding planning can quickly become very stressful and it is very easy to get caught up in all the little details. In the end it is very important to remember what the day is really about—it’s a celebration of the love and union between two individuals. On your actual wedding day take a moment to step aside with your new spouse and share a private moment with them.

About their honeymoon: We loved loved loved our honeymoon. It was definitely a trip of a lifetime. We feel so fortunate and blessed to have been able to experience the culture and history of all the places we visited. We can't agree on our favorite part of the trip but Bobby felt Venice, Italy was a dream come true and I felt as though Florence, Italy was a real life fairytale.
