Our ceremony was in a walled garden, and the recessional for the wedding party went into a little wooden house behind the garden. Our wedding party consisted of our siblings and cousins, so our siblings, cousins, and parents all had a moment in this house together right after the ceremony, while the rest of the guests proceeded to a cocktail hour. We were all very emotional with happiness, and I even caught a few of the guys teary eyed! Our wedding coordinator had drinks in the house waiting for us to celebrate, and it turned into this perfect intimate moment of celebration between our two families. I truly felt that our families were united at that time, and we are so happy to have the chance to take in the excitement of the ceremony together before the whirlwind of a reception started!" -bride & groom

Wedding planning advice: We are fortunate to have a large family, and a wonderful circle of friends, but chose a venue with a limited capacity for guests. The most difficult part for us planning our wedding was deciding our guest list. My advice would be to together determine your guest list well in advance, so that it doesn't create any issues later on. We were not comfortable having an "A" or "B" list, so it was important for us to get the guest list right the first time around. Other than that, have a blast and enjoy the planning moments leading up to the wedding, because the wedding itself goes by very quickly. Our favorite part together was the food and cake tastings!
